This is my third Canon specific lens for my two EOS units. It is easy to ues, a no brainer, and I love everything about it so far. I’ve had NO problems whatsoever and can recommend it highly to anyone interested in purchasing one like it.

Digital camera is an "electric tiger", which eat a lot of electric, if your POWERSHOT G5 camera battery does not match or pay no attention to saving, the battery will run out when you does not take a few photos. Battery usage could be save by following approach:
- First, avoid using zoom operation unnecessary;

My 4th attempt at making a time-lapse (cropped version).This time I used Aperature lock and let the camera adjust the shutterspeed. There is a few jumps because my EOS 20D locks up if I set DSLR Remote Pro to sequences longer than 800-1000 pictures and some noise at longer exposures. I didn't know that my EOS 20D had a noise reduction function for longer exposures. There is a catch though the exposure time will be "double". |

Even with all the new cameras out there in the market, I still love my Canon EOS 20D. Unless I accidentally drop it and break it, it is still the camera of choice for me. But if you are buying one for the first time, shop around, there are some nicer cameras, for less than what I paid for this one, that work just a good if not better.

I bought it about 6 years ago and paid $1500.
I fell in love with it the first shots I took!
Beautiful pictures the best I had ever taken.
finally I could take a decent picture and have no worries if it would turn out or not.
all of my pictures were turning out perfect! they just did and it was amazing!
I became a new person I woke up thinking of my new camera till I went to bed
thinking what I would do tomorrow with it .
I took pictures of my 7 grandchildren growing up, every event, street photography
and even started my own photography business in my town.
that’s when it all came to a end. I was doing a wedding,my first wedding at the coast.
after the wedding was over and we were doing the pictures and a sneaker wave got me and
took me under and my camera was destroyed.
I will buy another one the same 20D camera it’s that great.
Buy a good canon lens to go with it,
at the great price they are chargeing now you can afford both!

We purchased the Canon 20D and it broke after only 4 months. The pictures were great. The camera just stopped working one day for no apparent reason (no power). We sent it to Canon and they want $800 to repair it. We actually bought another Canon as a backup and it broke also (the lense mechanism jammed). So not only are both Canon’s broken for different reasons, Canon is very uncooperative about fixing them. Canon’s warranty is not very good.
End result: We are missing pictures of our just born baby girl, and Canon is requesting $800. So we’re doubly penalized, despite having a backup plan.
This is my first DSLR, and it’s doing everything I need and then some. Solid build, great grip. I bought it used from a friend who’s been a photog for many years. It’s served him well for over 2.5 years; the stuff he’s take on it is simply amazing. Solid camera!
I bought this camera my tool for learning about digital photography. It has been very easy to use and a great learning tool. As with any camera, the lens makes a big difference in the photographs you take. The lens this comes with is okay for a generic starter, but you will quickly want to invest in a more high-end one based upon the type of photography you want to do. It is compatiable with the older Canon lenses, so that has been a plus.
Seriously, who writes a review of a battery? After all, it’s just a battery. Not necessarily so. The Canon battery costs more and has less storage capacity. When purchasing batteries, be sure to look at the storage capacity of the batteries in question. The storage capacity of batteries this size is expressed in mAh (milli ampere hours). The higher the mAh number, the more energy the battery stores. This battery has almost 44% more storage capacity than the Canon battery. Want to compare more batteries? Try this – divide the cost of the battery by the number of mAh. For this battery, $24.67 divided by 2000 (mAh) equals $.0123 per mAh. For the Canon battery, $37.59 divided by 1390 (mAh) equals $.027 per mAh. By the way, I use this battery in my Canon EOS-40D.
The KINAMAX battery uses a Japanese Cell so the life of the battery is longer and you get the full advertised power instead of the fake batteries that advertise one amount but do not come close to it.
Great price great battery, what else can you say?
The battery holds a charge well but the physical size of this battery is just slightly smaller, (In Width) than the original and as such makes for a sloppy fit. I’m using this on a Canon ZR50. It hasn’t fallen off, just isn’t snug. I don’t regret buying it.
I purchased this battery for my Canon 40D, and I have to tell you, this is the best battery deal out there. The factory battery is a respectable 1390mAh, but this battery is 2000mAh. I took almost a thousand pictures with it last weekend at a car show and still had battery left. That’s impressive. Two of these are all you could ever need. My only gripe is that it’s a little loose in my charger, it still works though. Go get a couple of these things.
I felt the original battery was pretty good in my 40D. I could take about 900 pictures with it. This replacement battery goes forever. Since I am still in learn mode, I tend to take multiple shots at various settings. The battery lasted a week, with 10% flash, constant picture review, constantly being left on….
Just get one. Besides, you should have a spare on hand anyways.
The zipper on this product messed up after less than a month. This case fits the Canon XSi with kit lens pretty snugly. However, I do not like how it hugged (or did not hug, rather) the camera. If you have the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom Lens attached to your XSi, it will not fit. Also, I’m a little embarrassed to carry this case around, because unlike the pictures online, in real life it looks like the seat of a bicycle…. so it looks like I’m carrying a bicycle seat (or as my sister likes to say — that crotch piece) around.
The bag would be awesome if it wasn’t made with the cheapest zipper possible. From day one it can’t manage to close the bag properly.
Zipper is of extremely bad quality. Always had to try several times to properly close the thing. Returned this the very next day. Was trying to use this for my Rebel XSi. May be the bag is not made for this model.
I purchased this case as a gift for my mom and was so embarassed as the zipper split as soon as she tried to close it. I am in the process of trying to get a refund.
It’s good overall. the zipper can tend to get out of place.
It’s a little bit small and tight for my Canon Rebel XS.
Plus there’s no room for the straps to go through (although it does provide its own strap)
To clarify since I searched the web all over and found no clear answer, this eyepiece is the perfect fit for the 50D. Super snug, perfect snap. The II version may fit as well, but I’m just confirming this one definitely does. It extends the eyepiece a slight amount, and it’s just enough to keep your nose and face off the screen. In my opinion, it also looks better on the camera.
I am rating 4/5 based on the slightly smaller viewfinder image. Yeah, it’s a little smaller, but nothing major. It’s not as bad as some people are making it out to be. If you have good eyesight you’ll be fine. I did read somewhere it is possible to manually remove the less magnification from the extender, but I’m fine with it for now.
Overall I am happy with the purchase! 4/5
