Canon EOS Rebel XS camera Free Significant Hint

The battery is as pictured. It has 1800mAh stamped on the battery itself. That withstanding, the battery lasts a bit longer than my original canon battery as it should being 1800mAh vs the canon original 1080mAh battery (mAh=milliamp Hours).
This battery is used in my “Canon Rebel T1i camera with attached Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens” (which I also purchased from Amazon, by the way).
I have been using this battery a few weeks now and have had no problems with it.

I want the Canon EOS Rebel XS Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 IS Lens w/ Image Stabilization (EOSREBELXS) and i have been wanting it for Canon EOS Rebel XS camera a very long time! I know some people with it and i heard so many good reviews and how its great! Would this be a good camera to have because i dont want to have it for a year. I want to have it for a long time and last me a long time!!! Is it a good camera? I want to get it for christmas!!!Basically what im asking is if this camera is good to last me for a very long time?
