This is a great little camera! I got mine from the Kodak site (I still love you, Amazon!) because they were giving $70 off and a trade-in. So far, it is wonderful. I am always amazed at what people complain about. The joystick is too small and hard to use? For whom? It works great for me. The image stabilization doesn’t help. Are you running down a flight of stairs? Then, you’re probably right.
A lot of problems are simple user error. If you’re not a good photographer, you can use a $5000 camera and you’ll take lousy pix. If you do what you’re supposed to (hold the camera steady, press the shutter release smoothly) you’re going to take good pix with whatever you are using.
For the price I paid, this camera is phenomenal. (My other camera is a Nikon D80, which I love). Even if I paid full price, I would have gotten the same thing: A good, small, flexible camera that gives me great pictures. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is I’ve only had it a few days.
Thank you, Kodak!
With touchscreen devices getting cheaper and making their way into every possible gadget, cameras aren’t being left out. Now, its Kodak’s turn. The EasyShare V1073 is an 11 MP camera with a 3x optical zoom.
It is thin enough to fit into a shirt pocket easily, but that also makes it a little difficult to hold with a single hand. The touchscreen also makes it difficult to use the camera with just one hand. The power and shoot buttons are positioned close to each other. The 3-inch screen doesn’t have great quality—it is pretty difficult to use outdoors even Kodak EASYSHARE M1093 IS 10MP Camera with the brightness turned up high.
The quality of photos isn’t too different from its predecessors. The colours in the photos are pretty natural but the sharpness will likely be a little too much for most people’s liking. There is image stabilisation, but images still end up a little blurry in well-lit scenarios. There is very little control given to the user, so there isn’t a lot you can experiment with.
One of the key features is the HD 720p video recording resolution. A typical 25-second clip is 43 MB in size. The quality of the video clips is pretty impressive.
The touch screen makes a few other features easily accessible. For example, you can actually type in a tag for every single photo that you shoot using an on-screen keyboard. The high definition video recording is a feature that will interest many.

on a recent trip to Florida, I lost my Canon SD 1200IS digital camera which I was fairly happy with. The main drawback was that it only record video up to VGA resolution. The optical zoom and autofocus also does not operate once the recording starts. Based on the spec, the Kodak M1093IS seem to fit the bill. It was quite inexpensive($100) and record HD video at 720p resolution. Its optical zoom and autofocus also worked while recording. But I was quite disappointed with both still picture and video performance. Both the pictures or video are grainy-lots of chroma noise unless under perfect lighting conditions. The weak flash does not help on this matter either. While the optical zoom is operable during video recording, the video become very blurry during zooming. The autofocus kicks in after stopping zooming. The auto white balance also too sensitive and shifting visibly with slight change in lighting during panning. When playing back the video on computer, the audio and video got di-synchronized and the gap became increasingly larger as the clip getting longer although play back on camera appeared to be fine. The worst thing was that it give me error messages a couple of times and has to reformat the SD card to continue. Luckily, I did not have much important photos or video in it on those occasions. I also encountered error messages when transferring the pictures and videos to computer (claiming corrupt files) via the supplied USB cable. However, transferring the same through my SD card reader on the computer worked without any problem! I am not sure the SD card or the camera was the culprit. I do not have much confidence in this camera with important events. Overall, both still and video performance is below the Canon SD1200IS. I guess you get what you paid for! Maybe I have to buy another more reliable camera.
Initially, I thought the camera was defective since I could not do much of anything with the joy stick. Finally, I figured it out. The button is ridiculously small and the only way I could use the cursors – and not all the time – was to use a precisely placed fingernail and hope it would work.
This is my 1st review but I never buy or ask for items without reading these. For this to be my first review ever indicates that this is a great little camera. In fact, my son and my husband really like it too and that is something cuz my son does not really like Kodak. Enough about that-
The lightness of this item was especially important to me- it is lite. The next important thing was the picture quality. I am not an experienced photographer but I have been satisfied with the pics.
Go ahead and get this camera! I don’t think you’ll
regret it.

My husband and I bought this camera for a trip to Costa Rica. We just arrived home yesterday and were blown away by the quality of pictures (we hooked it up to the tv to see them blown up). I have never had a camera campture landscape pictures so well. The detail and color were amazing! We used the video and panoramic features while on the trip and both were easy to use and of good quality. This product is also very light weight and has a large screen for viewing pictures easier while on the go. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a fairly inexpensive camera that provides expensive quality pictures.
