Nikon Coolpix L11 6MP Camera Helpful Guideline

This is a excellent little travel camera. It’s picture and video quality isn’t as good as my Panasonic TZ1, but it’s not bad at all. (The Panny is also a lot larger and more expensive, so no surprises here.) If you’re careful, you’ll get very good results.

The good: It runs on AA batteries and is so compact and easy to use. It’s well engineered and intuitive.

The bad: The flash takes a little long to charge, and I’m sure there are small cameras that take better pics and movies, but this camera certainly gets the job done just fine.

Few years ago, images captured by the film cameras were considered to be the only way to record and store moments of life. While some of us used them to memorise occasions such as graduation party, marriages, birthdays and even anniversaries, others used them to record personal feats such as competitions and educational felicitations. However, there were some factors on which a film camera does not stand up to the expectations. The factors such as image quality, deletion of unwanted images, special image effects and worse light conditions were some of the points where the film camera proved to be completely sub-standard.

The growing needs of the camera users and enthusiasts led to the birth of a new technology. This new Digital Technology saw the introduction of digital cameras in the markets. These digital cameras allowed Nikon Coolpix L11 6MP Camera the users to capture high-quality images even in the worse light conditions, without compromising on the image clarity and quality. In addition to that, the users were given an option to delete unwanted images besides giving some image effects to the captured images. These cameras were also sleek, elegant, ultra-stylish and portable but expensive than the film cameras.

However, as the time passed and new technologies were introduced, the prices of digital camera gradually fell by a significant amount. In the present day market, this fall can also be attributed to favourable government policies and market trends besides a rise in user's income and growing competition. Now that we have learnt the reasons behind the development and popularity of the cheap digital cameras, let us now move to some of the eminent names and products in the marketplace.

Some of the biggest names in the world of cheap digital camera are Nikon and Canon. If you are looking for high-class yet cheap digital cameras in the market then the Nikon Coolpix L10, Nikon L11, Nikon S200 and Nikon S510 are some of the feasible options. These Nikon digital cameras are high on performance, quality and user-friendly embedded features.

Get started with the digital technology by grabbing a cheap digital camera today, if in doubt, get the world class Nikon digital camera for yourself.

This arrived just in time for hubby’s birthday even though it was hidden for a few days. Excellent condition, and we both got the biggest kick out of the tri-pod stand…perfect for self portraits…BEST PRICE ANYWHERE, and perfect condition as well !!!

I RECENTLY USED AN OLDER CANNON POWER SHOT WITH 5 MEGA PIXELS ,PRETTY BASIC IN DESIGN AND IT WAS FASTER WITH BETTER FOCUSING AND IM KIND OF SORRY I BOUGHT THE NIKON

I just got rid of my fujifilm E-510 in hopes that this nikon L-11 would take better macro close ups. Man was i wrong. my fuji was only 5.0 megapixels compared to the nikons 6.0, but the pictures were a lot more clear and crisp. Taking the same close ups i used my fuji for the pictures from the nikon were blurry and no matter how i tried to adjust settings on this camera the pictures were blurry and the auto focus function was very slow. This camera is in my opinion a piece of JUNK!! now i have to throw this thing away and buy a good camera. I hope this helps.

The camera is fine except for the fact that it takes blurry pictures when up close!!! What is the point of a camera that takes blurry pictures! I would not buy this camera.

i’ve tried everything i can possibly think of with this thing, every setting, every position, it simply can not take a good photo. if i’m lucky, i might get one decent shot out of every 30-40 images. my 4 year old 3 mega pixel camera exceeds this one’s picture quality in every way. don’t waste your money here.

This camera is simply built cheaply. Our previous Nikon lasted for several years. This one lasted for several months. Stupid stuff like the clip for the battery breaking. No clip, no batteries.

It will not be replaced with another Nikon.

The positives- never read the manual and I can operate it to my satisfaction without having done so (though I know there is probably much to learn if I would take a look). It fits in my handbag so I don’t have to carry a camera bag around. The negative- Seems to really eat batteries. A lot.

ADDITION- While using the camera recently, I experienced an issue where the camera lens would not retract into the the body when I turned off the camera. There is a “Lens Error” message on the display and no pictures can be taken. This appears to be a common problem with the CoolPix series. According to the Nikon support website. there isn’t anything the user can do about it except try taking the batteries out overnight. That did not work, so it had to go to Nikon for repair. They took care of it at no charge and the process was fairly painless (compared to other warranty service with various companies that I’ve experienced.)

I bought this little camera for my nephew. He likes it a lot and have been sending me pictures and video since then.

Not too fancy, easy to use. I haven’t print the pictures yet but the look nice on the screen.

Got this camera as a Christmas gift and first used on my trip to Florida this spring. Very easy to use (I never even opened the instruction book) and pictures seem to be of a good quality so far. Battery life was short with regular batteries, but after buying some rechargable batteries, it has been much better. Computer program that came with the camera was also very easy to use. All in all great camera for the price!!

Burton December 6, 2009 at 12:48 am

I bought this camera a few months ago and I’m already buying a new camera. The shutter takes FOREVER. I’ve missed so many important pictures due to the slow speed. Also 3 months after I bought the camera the lens wouldn’t close. I sent it back to Nikon because it was still under warranty and they said that I must have dropped it or broken it some how (which I never did) and they wouldn’t cover it. They charge me $50 to fix it and I wish I would have just told them to keep the camera. I would not recommend this camera to anyone.

Dougherty December 6, 2009 at 1:42 am

I bought this camera to fill in the gap while I got my older Coolpix repaired (actuator problem).
The old camera (which I have reverted to) takes spectacular images, as one would expect from Nikon.
(I still have my old NikorMat and SLR lenses). Unfortunately the L14 is a piece of junk. I don’t care much for features,
and I like the short list this camera has,,,, the problem is almost every image I take with it is BLURRED !!! I think it has to
do with the AF design (I saw some complaint about it somewhere else). I hate this camera. I’ve wasted dozens of photo opportunities
using it. I sent it in for “repair” under warranty,,,, they messed with it for a couple of months, and it came back exactly
the same as when I sent it. The picture quality, what Nikon is remembered for,,, is terrible.

All they can tell me now is they need me to send it in again. I will waste no more time on it.
It’s going in the trash,, or maybe I’ll give it to my kids when they get to be 2 years old,,, hell I don’t care if they wreck it.

Garbage ,,,,, come on Nikon Wise up,, don’t make anymore of this junk, or you will lose this lifelong customer !!
