I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 15-yr old daughter. I didn’t want to spend more than $100, but I also wanted at least a reasonably recognized name brand. She has just been using it for 2 months, but so far this Samsung L100 has performed extremely well. I believe we got a lot of performance for the price. It starts up very quickly, resolution is excellent, and I like that it has a built-in rechargeable battery instead of AA batteries. I opted for a 2GB SD card as well so capacity is great. I also purchased a small padded camera case to help protect it.

I got the Samsung L100 camera for my daughter for her 14th birthday in April, 2009. This unit broke in 6 months under normal use. I sent my daughter’s camera to the them after talking to a customer service rep. The unit was sent back in 3 business days. Wow! That was quick. Guess what? A simple letter inside the package saying that “the unit was damaged beyond repair”. No further explaination about what was the damage and why it was not under waranty. I am not even sure if they even open the camera to check on what is wrong. I will never buy their product again with this kind of services. I hope you don’t never need to reach my position with them.
Very small and light. Many modes included but automatic setting can handle most conditions. Manual included as a wizard on the screen! It’s like a tutorial mode! Great idea! Takes good pictures and videos. Short wait time from shot to shot (2-3 seconds). As with any other digital camera, very low light shots are not good most of the time but the camera always get the job done right on close shots with flash. Great value for the price. I’m truly happy. I recommend this product for a point and shoot camera. Far cheaper than other brands with same results.
I bought a L100 for Christmas and I recommend it totally , it takes amazing photos, I am very happy with it .. exceeded my expectations
As I bought the camera as a gift, I can’t really say if the owner now appreciate it!But I can say that the order arrived really fast at destination and in a complete and good state.
this camera has quite a few neat features and works great and the best part was..that it was within the price range. It really will be great for vacation later on this year and it gets the job done.
Besides this being a great price I really have made a great choice. My Samsung Camera fits in this case perfectly. It has two zippers on either side to make it easy to place the camera inside. Than the black flap folds over and you have a short handle. Good choice. I give it a 4 1/2 star rating.

I love this little case i can carry it in my purse and have it with me whenever the kids are doing something cute. The only thing i would change is that it had room for the charger, but other than that its great!!!

The camera was fine, but quit working while under warranty. There was no serial number on the unit. I guess it was on the box, but we could not find the box. After 10+ days of me calling customer service, faxing the invoice, and e-mailing a picture of the camera to prove there was not a serial number – Samsung told me it was illegal for them to service the unit under warranty. I wasted hours!! If they had told me that to start with, I could have lived with it. If at all possible, I will not by a Samsung product again.
I received this camera as a gift, and used it on my recent trip to Italy. Imagine my dismay when I discovered that many of the pictures I had taken were not even valid jpegs! No program could open them! Moreover, many other pictures had not been processed correctly by the camera, leading to images that are missing color channels, split, or a combination of the two. Hopefully this is an isolated issue, because otherwise this camera works well for simple point-and-shoot purposes.
