I like this camera very much, the features are amazing and the smile recognition thing is handy with babies. The quality of the pictures and videos are perfect. And the wire connects directly to my T.V which is very convenient and quick for viewing my pictures on my HD TV.
But 2 things I dislike about this camera:
1. You can’t zoom when you start video recording. You can before pressing the recording button but once you press it you won’t be able to zoom.
2. The video quality is perfect but sometimes I get a glitch or 2 in some of my videos.
I would highly recommend this camera for this price.
Sony is one of the best photo digital camera producers and this result is confirmed especially by their clients, who almost never complain regarding the product quality. Sony photo digital camera offer is wide ranging from 2 mega pixel cameras to over 8 mega pixel. In the following lines I will describe some Sony photo digital cameras characteristics with a variable price from several hundred dollars to over a thousand.
Cybershot DSC-T10 is a high performance Sony photo digital camera that is in many ways alike its predecessor the T30. What I like about it is the SteadyShot Optical Image Stabilizer that helps you take a decent shoot even in harsh conditions. This Sony photo digital camera has image stabilization; it can switch between auto and manual focus and exposure, ISO 80 - 1600; it supports JPEG and RAW formats and has lithium - ion battery.
CyberShot H5 is a Sony photo digital camera with an awesome 12x optical zoom and 7.2 MP sensors being one of the best offers on the market. It comes with a larger LCD of no more then 3.0 inch LCD which is really nice especially if you want to actually use de 12x optical zoom. Check the specifications: 7.2 mega pixels combined with a 12x optical and 2x digital zoom. The CyberShot H5 Sony photo digital camera has optical image stabilization and can turn from auto to manual focus or exposure, ISO 80 - 1000, it supports JPEG format and has a nice movie mode, 2AA batteries, a 3.0 inch LCD screen and a 32MB internal memory.

The Sony photo digital camera comes in 3 colors silver, black and red. Its sensor has 7.2 mega pixels, the screen is more then enough 3.0 inch LCD, and its optical image stabilization option is a life savior. Help answer the question about Sony Cybershot DSC-W5 Camera
Sony cybershot DSC-W5 won't turn on?
I've noticed many, many, many people with similar problems, but in my case the camera won't even turn on. Nothing, nada.Originally we had been taking some photos over many days, and on one day it just turned off, and Sony Cybershot DSC-W5 Camera the lens stayed extended. We managed to ease the lens closed (much later), but since the time it stopped working it hasn't turned on again. We noticed that it only "responds" when the batteries are taken out and put back in. After hitting the power button, the LCD briefly flashes the menu, says "Accessing..." (sometimes) and then shuts off. I don't think it's an issue with the lens itself; it seems to be software-based.We've switched batteries, memory cards, but nothing is helping.Any ideas?

Two years ago,I received this camera as a Christmas gift from my husband.
The camera was great at first, then about 6 months ago the problems started. I can’t get the mode to stay on the selected scene. The pictures are VERY blurred or too dark. There is also a delay in the taking pictures.I would not recommend this camera. Save your money!
Bottom line: I would not purchase this camera again, even if it was on sale for $50.
I purchased the DSC-W7 about a year and a half ago to replace a DSC-S85 (absolutely loved that camera).
the W7 had great batter life and took good photos but I noticed that the indoor shots were not that great and often blurry or out of focus. I wrote the blurry off to the slow shutter speed due to limited aperture (hey, it is a small camera, what do you expect). But the out of focus and long focus times are annoying.
Loved the video capability!
Fast forward to present time. over the past 18 months I have noticed that battery life was decreasing. I wrote this off to the batteries wearing out (use sony AA 2300mah). Bought a new set about 4 months ago. Still had the same decreasing battery life problem even with the new batteries?!?. Now a fresh charged set won’t last for even 10 sec!? clearly something is wrong with the camera. I have seen a few other posts on the net from owners with a similar problem. One took got a $250 repair estimate! I have switched back to my DSC-85 (took it back from the kids) which is still using the same lithium rechargeable that it came with 4-5 years ago!
I have had this camera for almost 4 years and after all the abuse it has suffered it is still going strong. I have dropped it down concrete steps (I kid you not) and it has dents in it. The picture quality is fantastic even at a distance (even considering it only has 3x optical zoom). I love this camera and will keep it until it functions no longer!
I have owned a SONY DSC-W7 for approximately two years. This was the first digital camera I bought and am extremely disappointed. I didn’t know how bad it was (since it was my first) until I started comparing pictures I took with that of my friends and family. Many of the pictures are blurry (regardless of the time of day or environment). The shutter speed is slow and I often miss action shots. If you want to count on your camera to capture all those precious moments, buy something else. Do not put a penny toward the SONY DSC-W7; it’s not worth it…you will be disappointed.
A good product from Sony. Used it for couple of years before it broke down. I guess 2yrs is long enough. Now my kid plays with it.
These Lens work great with the DSC-W1. You need to shut off the flash. It cannot be use with the flash. I use especially the wide angle lens for my Hawaii trip and it works so well. I’m able to capture a wider range that I never thought my camera can do.
I got this lens in late ‘08 for my Sony CyberShot DSC-W1 camera. It came with the adapter ring in the package. It also comes with a little black carry bag & two lens caps. The lens works great for outdoor shots, I think it helps to show more detail in the photos. Also nice on close-ups. Although, when the zoom in totally in, as in not zooming out, the corners are dark from the round lens. So I find that I’ve got to zoom out just a little so that the edges aren’t dark. I’ve used it indoors and haven’t had any issues with the flash creating a shadow, although I’ve mostly used it for daytime outdoor shots. Overall a great deal for how affordable it is, and it’s compact enough to fit in my camera bag with the camera.
